Irish Embassy delegation visited SAMAGRA’s Office

A delegation of Irish Embassy to India led by the Hon’ble Deputy Ambassador Mr. Raymond Mullen and accompanied by the Political Officer Ms. Shriya Singh visited SAMAGRA’s Office at Chabahil, Kathmandu on January 9, 2025. During their visit, SAMAGRA’s team shared about the its activities and experiences. The delegation appreciated the SAMAGRA’s campaign of Empowering Marginalized People through Social Families as well as the efforts of protecting lives and properties against lightning hazards in collaboration with South Asian Lightning Network (SALNet). His Exellancy Mr. Mullen expressed his happiness to have supported the marginalized people of Nepal collaborating with SAMAGRA through In-Country Micro Project Scheme (ICMPS). During the interaction Mr. Mullen also shared Ireland’s transformation from conflict-devastated poor country to one of the biggest economies in the Europe and emphasized that Nepal can learn from the Ireland’s experience. SAMAGRA has been recently awarded the microgrant under ICMPS.
