Irish Embassy delegation visited SAMAGRA’s Office

A delegation of Irish Embassy to India led by the Hon’ble Deputy Ambassador Mr. Raymond Mullen and accompanied by the Political Officer Ms. Shriya Singh visited SAMAGRA’s Office at Chabahil, Kathmandu on 9th January 2025. During the visit, SAMAGRA’s team shared about the works and experiences of SAMAGRA and the campaign of Empowering Marginalized People through Social Families as well as how the efforts of protecting lives and properties against lightning hazards in collaboration with South Asian Lightning Network (SALNet). Mr. Mullen expressed happiness to able to support the marginalized people of Nepal collaborating with SAMAGRA through In-Country Micro Project Scheme (ICMPS) and also shared how Ireland progressed from conflict-devastated poor country to one of the biggest economies in Europe which can be a good learning for the country like Nepal. SAMAGRA has been recently awarded the microgrant under ICMPS.
